My work is made up of found paper elements, supplemented with drawing and hand-printed shapes & typography. I work with original analog elements. Working with unique found imagery, documents and photographs means that decisions have weight. There is no ctrl-z once an object is glued in place, or a photograph cut in half.

Decisions in art, where every option is theoretically possible, matter. The decisions are your art practice, even more than the resulting images.

Working with found imagery brings unexpected stories and resonances to the work. Recontextualizing old letters, forms, photographs and book pages lets the viewer both investigate the original meanings and develop their own. No story or artwork exists alone.
