February, 10 Fotos

In February I took half as many photographs as I did in January, and it shows.

These photographs are, importantly, not my “best” but my favorite, and there always have to be ten, even if I only like three or four. I don’t bill myself as a photographer who’s also a designer and animator, but a designer and animator who likes to take photographs. That’s an important distinction and I feel like it lets me get away with posting images that wouldn’t otherwise be shared. Plus, it’s a nice forcing mechanism. I know that at the end of every month I’m going to go through my pictures looking for good ones, so I’d damn well better bring my camera when I leave the house.

February was our most wintery month yet, which the cats bravely survived, finding sunny spots on the bed.

It was properly chilly along the Landwehrkanal. And regular blog readers will recognise the bottom right image, a version of which I’ve shared for three (?) years in a row. I plan on taking this picture every year that we live in this apartment. It’s now become a winter tradition, along with trimming tree and hanging stockings.

To be honest though, I’m ready for warm weather.
